What Fits Airline Checked-Bag Limits

Most airlines cap a checked bag at 62 linear inches (length plus width plus height) and 50 lb before oversize or overweight fees apply. Both sizes are designed to check on major carriers, and the Aviator Trunk's 12.1 lb (5.5 kg) empty weight leaves more of that 50 lb allowance for what goes inside. Hardside Durability for Checked Travel

The exterior is 70% recycled polycarbonate from certified post-consumer waste, a hardside material that flexes under impact and returns to shape rather than cracking. Aluminum-reinforced corners hold the form of the suitcase through the rough handling of checked travel, and Hinomoto Silent Glide 360 spinner wheels roll steadily even when fully packed. The finish takes its texture from the decking of wooden yachts.

Every Aviator Grand and Aviator Trunk comes with a 10-year warranty, a 100% recycled striped lining, a compression board, and two interior pockets to keep a long trip in order. Each one carries a Digital Product Passport: a QR code that traces the full supply chain, from raw material to finished suitcase, alongside care and repair guides.
